Sandra Escallón is a Colombian journalist based in New York for approximately 10 years. She has always had a deep love for knowing other cultures throughout arts, but
particularly, she wants to show this passion by educating others about the beauty of
each art expression in every country. Therefore, since she came to New York, she has focused on covering events that embrace the cultural side of each country, especially in Latin America, that educate and show the beauty of the art world. Besides that, she has interviewed artists who with their job bring a positive message and try to change the world for good. That is why, Sandra, after overcoming a lot of obstacles for being in a country where she did not speak English and did not know anyone, has achieved not only to work with the most prestigious publications and outlets, but she has interviewed influential people with an extraordinary talent, such as famous and new artists, that have made her an expert journalist in cultural topics in New York City and Latin America. Sandra Escallón is a bilingual journalist graduated from Montclair University. She has
experience in cultural, artistic and social journalism. Sandra has worked with media outlets such as HOLA! USA, N Y1 Noticias, En La Escena TV, My LifeStyle Magazine and Fusion Magazine. Sandra has also worked as Press Representative/Public Relations Specialist of World Music Boutique Productions and has collaborated as Press Officer and blogger of The Colombian Film Festival. Some of the assignments that she has attended are The Colombian Film Festival, New York Fashion Week, Afro-Latino Festival, Tribeca Film Festival and others. She has also interviewed artists such as Calle 13, Bomba Estéreo, Hans Zimmer, Dayme Arocena and JR. Sandra thinks that believing in her dreams, listening to her heart and love are the tools to be a light for herself and share it with the world.
