The 2018 Apollo Spring Gala took place this week in New York City. This year they took it back to the 90’s! The Spring Gala is their biggest fundraiser for the Apollo’s artistic and education programs and this year it marked the 13th year. For this year’s Gala, they honored Sirius XM with the annual Corporate Award for their outstanding contributions in performing arts and community leadership.
The concert portion of the evening was a show of all shows and it was hosted by actor and comedian David Alan Grier and featured performances by 90’s R&B and Hip Hop superstars Tony Toni Tone, Bell Biv DeVoe and Salt-N-Pepa.
